Please join us for a free community showing of the Emmy award winning documentary “The Librarians” followed by a talkback with Boulder Public Library District Director David Farnan and Boulder Library Foundation CEO Chris Barge.
Drawing on historical context, “The Librarians” explores the broader implications of book bans on education and public life. In this film, librarians emerge as first responders in the fight for democracy and our First Amendment Rights. As they well know, controlling the flow of ideas means control over our communities.
Come by early for light refreshments starting at 5:45 p.m. in the Canyon Gallery just outside of the theater. Doors to the Canyon Theater will open at 6:00 p.m. for open seating.
The event is free, but registration is required. REGISTER HERE.
