Program Overview

The Boulder Library Foundation created the Doris Hass Legacy Circle, in our founder’s name, to honor and thank those who create a legacy gift in their estate plans.  There are many ways to do this.  Some have created a future gift in their will or living trust, while others have named us as a beneficiary of an IRA, life insurance policy, or charitable trust.  A variety of options exist.

Most people like to preserve their full control over their assets during life, protecting against future uncertainties.  Others may choose to maximize any tax and financial benefits that could result from their philanthropy.  It’s all a matter of priority.

In addition, with estate planning, people typically prioritize their family and loved ones first, only providing for the Boulder Library Foundation after those needs are met.  There is tremendous flexibility in this planning to help you accomplish all your wishes.

Some people share their intentions with us, to help with our long-term planning and to serve as an inspiration to others to make similar legacy gifts.  Please let us know when you have created an estate gift.  We would love to include you as a member of the Doris Hass Legacy Circle.
