We are beyond excited to announce that Bonnie Garmus, world-renowned author of Lessons in Chemistry, will headline the Boulder Library Foundation’s 50 Year Gala, Sept. 26 at the Boulder Main Library.
If you buy a table of 10, you’re a sponsor. That means you also get early access to our VIP author’s reception before doors open to the general public.
The party on the south end of the Main Library will continue with a reception for all ticket holders, with great food, plentiful beverages, and author signings. Then join us for dessert, wine and a seated program in the second-floor atrium, featuring Bonnie Garmus and the stories of lives forever changed by the Boulder Public Library.
Lessons in Chemistry was the #1 digital title borrowed from the Boulder Public Library in 2023. Many of you know the story: Set in the early 1960s, Elizabeth Zotts’ dream of being a scientist is put on hold when she finds herself pregnant, alone and fired from her lab. The novel was also turned into a popular mini-series starring Academy Award-winner Brie Larson.
Garmus’ book, appearance and empowering message provides a perfect backdrop to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Boulder Library Foundation.
Individual tickets will go on sale in May and are expected to sell out.
