Spring Forward Matching Campaign on!
DOUBLE your library impact for a limited time only! A group of Boulder Library Foundation board members and donors are matching every gift, up to $25,000 total, through Library Giving Day on April 1, 2025.
Libraries matter. Here’s why.

The Boulder community is expanding, evolving, and diversifying.

Technology is changing how we interact, absorb information, and relate to each other.

Few free places exist where people can meet, hang out, learn, and get help.
This makes Boulder libraries a critical “third space” for connection, learning, and self-improvement.
Our Impact
Since 1974, we’ve donated more than $10M to Boulder’s libraries.
Over the last few decades, our funding supported nearly 90% of library programs.
BLDG61, Boulder’s first free, community makerspace was made possible with Foundation funding.
The Foundation filled a $1.3M funding gap to help open the new NoBo library in 2024.
We’re so grateful to the generous donors whose gifts over the last five decades made all of this possible.
SUCCESS STORY
BLDG 61
BLDG 61 is a free community workshop, funded through the Boulder Library Foundation, providing maker education and technology to the public in a creative and inclusive environment.
Support the Foundation.
We love Boulder, and we believe our public Library should have the resources it needs to connect people, information and ideas that transform lives and improve our community.
Donate to the Foundation today to help foster a community of lifetime learning and engagement.
